P. B. Conway at the bottom of George Street. Independent, with good care and classy choice of frames.
Osteopath
Osney Osteopaths in South Street (next to The Punter pub) has practitioners offering osteopathy, yoga classes and psychotherapy.
Pharmacy
Woodlands Pharmacy at 82 Botley Road fulfils prescriptions and sells over-the-counter medicines.

Pubs
The Holly Bush opposite the bridge onto the island serves pizzas and ‘pots’ from its oven and is family friendly.
The Punter on the corner of East and South Streets has a small beer garden and serves veegetarian and vegan food.

Supermarket chains
There are branches of Waitrose and Aldi on the Botley Road, a Sainsbury’s Local in Frideswide Square, and an M&S Simply Food in the railway station.
Wine
Oxford Wine Company at 167 Botley Road is an independent retailer of wine, beer and spirits.
