Email group

The residents’ association runs a moderated email group for residents of Osney Island. If you would like to be added to the group, please contact the mail manager (osiramanager@gmail.com).

While every effort is made to post emails in a prompt manner there may at times be a delay, so please don’t rely on this group for circulating urgent messages.

OIRA email guidelines

• The email list is for sharing information, updates on incidents that affect the island such as power outages, and items of local interest (events, roadworks, planning applications, freebies, things wanted, etc.) If you want to express your frustration or voice opinions about a particular issue, there are more appropriate social media platforms you can use for this.
• If several people post what is effectively the same message (e.g. I’ve lost Wi-Fi) these will not all be forwarded by the email manager to save inbox clutter.
• The email list can be used to briefly inform residents about a local campaign or pressure group (e.g. Protest Against Network Rail), but not to debate the rights and wrongs of such campaigns.
• If you have a specific issue to raise with our local councillors please directly contact Susanna Pressel (cllrspressel@oxford.gov.uk) and/or Lois Muddiman (cllrlmuddiman@oxford.gov.uk) rather than using the email group for this purpose. 
• For responses to a request for information, consider if ‘reply’ is more appropriate then ‘reply to all’
